A Performance by Spoken Word Poet, Sarah Kay, the 2021-2022 Acuff Chair of Excellence
The Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts and Zone 3 Press at Austin Peay State University present a performance of original spoken word poetry by Sarah Kay, the 2021-2022 Acuff Chair of Excellence. Time for questions from the audience will follow the performance.

Sarah Kay is an American poet whose Ted Talks and spoken word poetry performances have gone viral on social media. She is also the founder and co-director of Project V.O.I.C.E., a program that uses spoken word poetry to enhance educational curriculum. Kay is the author of four books of poetry: B, The Type, All Our Wild Wonder, & No Matter the Wreckage. Learn more at www.kaysarahsera.com.

In 1985, country music legend Roy Acuff generously established an endowment to enrich the arts community at APSU and in Clarksville Montgomery County. The result was the Acuff Chair of Excellence, which brings acclaimed artists to APSU to share their expertise with students and the community in a dynamic atmosphere of unrestricted experimentation.
